Annex to Agreement on Second Phase of Reconstruction of Stara Pazova-Novi Sad Railway Section Signed

Companies RZD International and Serbian Railways Infrastructure have signed an annex to the agreement on the second phase of the reconstruction of the Stara Pazova-Novi Sad railway section, it was announced yesterday.

The document envisages the execution of the works and the delivery of the materials worth EUR 58 million within the second phase of the reconstruction, modernization and construction of a two-track railway for up to 200 km/h on the 40.44-km section between Stara Pazova and Novi Sad on the Belgrade-Budapest railway.

All the works will be completed by the end of 2021, RZD International says in its press release.

It is added that, when it comes to the works in Serbia, the kind of equipment and technologies will be used that will ensure that the new railway meets all the requirements for high-speed traffic.
