Milko Štimac


Milko Štimac was born on December 8, 1961. He graduated in International Relations from the Faculty of Political Sciences, Belgrade University. He attended postgraduate studies in International Law at the Faculty of Law, Belgrade University and postgraduate studies on the European Union as a part of the TEMPUS program. He speaks English and French. He worked for TV Beograd as a journalist and for Privredni Pregled as an editor and Assistant Editor-in-Chief. He has published numerous papers on economics.
Milko Štimac is an editor, columnist and commenter in the International Weekly. He is the leader of a team that has been developing term commodity market. He is also the Director of the Belgrade Commodity Exchange.
He has contributed to establishing relations among commodity and mixed exchanges in the Balkans and Podunavlje. He also organized the exchanges into a Group for support of regional development of commodity exchanges (ACE Group). Milko is a member of the East-West Institute for Southeastern Europe. He has also participated in drafting the program for economic reconstruction of the region. He is one of the founders of the G 17 Institute. He is also a Member of Parliament and the President of the Privatization Committee of the Serbian National Assembly.
