(Andrea Simoncheli) GM at Generali osiguranje in Serbia, Andrea Simoncheli said it is quite certain todays’ kids in Serbia will not have pension.

At the press conference, Simoncheli said that the situation in state-owned pension funds in almost all countries in the world shows that todays’ kids, when the time comes, will not have pension or they will have quite a small amount which will not be sufficient for life.

Simoncheli said that only 2-3% of population in Serbia is a member of a voluntary association and that the number could increase since that kind of saving is a need not a luxury having in mind current situation with public retirement system.

The head of the Association for managing Voluntary Pension Fund "Generali" Natasa Marjanovic said the market situation is stable, property of funds has been on a constant increase, that the industry has been functioning well and that there is room for its further development.
