Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov said that the failed South Stream gas pipeline project, which was supposed to enable the transfer of Russian gas under the Black Sea to the European Union, should be transformed into Bulgarian Stream that would be the sole property of Bulgaria.

Addressing the Bulgarian parliament, Borissov announced that the possibilities of supplying the Russian gas to Bulgaria would be discussed January 27 and 28 in Sofia, at a session of the Bulgarian-Russian Intergovernmental Committee for Economic Cooperation which has had no meetings in the past five years, the web portal EurActive reports today.
