Cacak chips to be made of local potatoes – Chips Way planning to employ 20-30% more workers by the end of 2016
He said that that would give a whole new dimension to the operations, create new jobs and improve the quality of the products and added that the quality was for the most part influenced by the quality of the natural sources the product was made of.
- We have started cooperating with our subcontractors and improved the cooperation so much so that we have even started field experiments with organic potatoes with the intention to start, in a way, the permanent serial production of organic potatoes – said Ivancev.
Owner of the Javor company from Kusici Djordje Momirovic said that the subcontractors of Chips Way would no longer need to import potato seeds from abroad, but that they would be able to buy it in Kusici at a lower price.
- We are providing the fertilizer and the seeds and everything they need. Now they are certain that everything they produce will have its place in the market, just as we have a secure cooperation with Cacak's chips factory. Our seeds are cheaper than foreign ones by about 15-20%, and they are of much higher quality too – he pointed out.
Manager of Chips Way Tomislav Bajevic says that, this year, three quarters of seeds have come from Javor, whereas one quarter has been imported.
- We are also constantly employing people and will increase the number of workers by around 20-30% by the end of the year. There currently more than a hundred employees – concluded Bajevic.
