Delegation of Serbian Association of Managers has recently (February 22, 2008) visited University in Novi Sad and, during the meeting with the management of this prestigious university institution in Serbia, they dicussed possible forms of cooperation.
Especially interesting was the project that has been realized by Serbian Association of Managers for the past few months, named “Na
praksi SAM", which enables final-year students to spend several months on professional practice in elite companies in Serbia. What is especially interesting is the fact that the students join the Administrative team and, in that way, they receive exceptional knowledge of operative running of companies.
The project was started with the aim to provide opportunity for young people to find job in these companies and stay in the country, entrusting their careers to export and investment - oriented companies in Serbia.
Representatives of SAM spoke about this project with Miroslav Plančak, vice-chancellor of the University, as well as with Ilija Ćosić, the dean of the Faculty of Technical Sciences, the largest faculty within the University in Novi Sad. By the way, Novi Sad-based Faculty of Technical Sciences pays much attention to forming young managers in various fields of economy.
There was also interest in use of practical knowledge and experiences of the members of Serbian Association of Managers by the University, and Prof. Ilija Ćosić proudly represented numerous projects for founding of commercial companies within the Faculty of Technical Sciences, which are today, especially in IT sector – large export companies of Serbia.
Agreement on development and application of program for students' practice "Na praksi SAM" has already been signed with some faculties in Belgrade, and it is announced that similar arrangements will be signed with faculties in Banja Luka and East Sarajevo in March 2008.
