Agricultural branch of DowDuPont to become independent company – Corteva Agriscience to begin operating in June 2019

The agricultural branch of the company DowDuPont, established in 2017 through a merger between Dow AgroSciences, DuPont Crop Protection and DuPont Pioneer, will be made into an independent agricultural company called Corteva Agriscience in the second quarter of 2019.

As DowDuPont says, the new name derives from a combination of words meaning “heart” and “nature”, and Corteva Agriscience has developed some of the best talent, technology, innovation and R&D capabilities that will uniquely position it to “transform our food system by helping farmers grow better, abundant and healthier crops while using fewer natural resources”.

– We will continue to invest in some of the most recognized and premium brands in agriculture: Pioneer, Mycogen, and the newly launched Brevant seed brands, as well as our award-winning Crop Protection products, such as Aproach Prima fungicide and Quelex herbicide with Arylex active – the company points out.

The Corteva Agriscience brand will not become fully operational before the company is spun off in June 2019. Until then, it will focus on intensive internal and field communication. Clients remain the main priority, and DowDuPont emphasizes that they are dedicated to making the transition as successful as possible.
