NIS: Purchase of Petrohemija to be discussed after the tendering procedure opens

The investment of NIS of EUR 300 million in the Duboka prerada (Deep Processing) facility at the Pancevo Oil Refinery, is in the phase of “pre-start activities”, as NIS CEO Kirill Tyurdenev told Politika.

When asked about the future of HIP Petrohemija, he said that it would be discussed once the privatization tender opens and when NIS learns about the terms.

In the meantime, NIS supplies Petrohemija with primary petrol and the company is operational, thanks to its connection to the NIS refinery, he said.

NIS owns over 20% of Petrohemija.

Tyurdenev pointed out that the construction of the thermal power plant/heating plant with Gazpromenergoholding was the most important project of NIS in the field of electrical energy.
