Certain Parking Spaces in Belgrade Cost as Much as a Studio Apartment – Even More Expensive on Kopaonik

Parking has been a problem in all parts of Belgrade in the past years. This is best shown by the fact that the price of a garage in New Belgrade reaches the price of a studio apartment.

The price of a garage space in a building near Stark Arena goes up to EUR 40,000, which is how much a studio apartment costs. The data of the Republic Geodetic Authority say that the most expensive garage is on Kopaonik. It cost around EUR 90,000.

Of the total garage space in Serbia, nearly 56% is in Belgrade.

– A garage space today is an integral part of an apartment, because, when you buy it, you buy the quality of life, not just tiles, square meters, water faucets, but the quality of life. What good is a view from the window if you spend 30 minutes looking for a parking space in front of a building? – says Dusan Uzelac, a financial advisor.

A parking space can be rented as well. The prices range from 2,000 to 20,000 dinars a month, depending on the location. Still, there are those that got a garage, but found a slightly different parking solution. They turned they garage into a small apartment.
