Momirovic: Preljina-Pakovrace Highway Section to Open by February 10, Technical Acceptance in Progress

The minister of construction, transport and infrastructure of Serbia, Tomislav Momirovic, has announced that the highway section from Preljina to Pakovrace will open by February 10 and added that the technical acceptance of this section is already in progress, so that the road would be safe for all participants in the traffic.

He said that the priority was not to set a precise date of the opening and explained that what was important is for the section to enable an easier and quicker traffic and to unload the entrance to Cacak in the next period.

– The section should have been completed in 1985, so it’s not that important whether it’s in January or December. I’m talking about a highway that will be used for the next hundred years – said Momirovic on TV Prva.

The minister pointed out that this was an important step that was expected for decades and emphasized that the section would considerably shorten the trip from Cacak to Pozega and make things easier for everybody traveling from Belgrade to Cacak, Prijepolje, Priboj and Pozega.

Let us remind that, two days ago, it was announced that the section would be completed by the end of January.
