The Ukrainian company Intellias has decided to close its office in Novi Sad and move it to Zagreb, due to Serbia’s position on the war in Ukraine, the company says in an announcement.

The announcement says that they’ve decided to close their office in Serbia and move their operations for this part of Europe to Croatia by opening an IT hub in Zagreb, because they don’t feel “an adequate support of Serbian authorities” regarding the war that is taking place in Ukraine.

It is further said that they’ve chosen Croatia “due to a clear and consistent pro-Ukrainian position on the current events, that is, an open provision of help to the Ukrainian army and their refugees, the support to that country’s European integration, but also the closing of its air space for the Russian aviation”.

Another argument cited in favor of their decision is that Croatia has a strong IT community of 60,000 experts in that field.

Previously, the company announced that, in addition to the Novi Sad office, it also planned to open a branch office in Belgrade. The company operates in 25 countries of the world.
