The Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure of Serbia has published a notice of an amendment to the contract on the supervision over the execution of the works on the construction of highway E-763, Preljina-Pozega section.

As said, an additional period of engagement of 16 months is required, because the works over which expert supervision is done were not finished within the planned deadline.

The agreement has now been extended until June 30, 2024, for the consortium of companies which was hired for this job in August 2019, when the construction of the section started (Gradjevinski institut Centralna putna laboratorija doo Veternik, Makspro doo Zemun, Adomne doo Novi Sad and ABA professional doo Beograd).

The price of the job has been raised accordingly, from RSD 966.8 million to RSD 1.4 billion.

Let us remind that the works on the Preljina-Pozega section, according to the agreement with the contractor, the Chinese company CCCC, were supposed to be completed by the end of this year.

That was repeated by the minister of construction of Serbia, Goran Vesic, 10 days ago, while visiting the site of the construction of the Laz Tunnel on this section.

He said that the tunnel tubes were supposed to be bored through by the end of April.

– The boring through of the second tunnel on the route, Munjino Brdo, is expected by the end of the year, so that the Chinese partners would try to fulfill what we’ve agreed, to complete this highway section by the end of the year – Vesic said.
