The section consists of the highway through the Srem plain and the new bridge on the Sava in Sabac. The road opened to traffic at 6pm on Saturday, and road toll will not be collected until New Year, said the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic.
The Ruma-Sabac highway, a section of 22 kilometers, with the new bridge on the Sava of 1,300 meters, connects Srem and Macva and was completed within the deadline. The new road begins at the clover-shaped interchange in Ruma. When the fast route to Loznica is completed next year, it will take an hour and a half to travel from Podrinje to the capital city.
