Belgian Company Interested in Development of Hotel Business in Kragujevac

The mayor of Kragujevac, Nikola Dasic and Bart Canini, on behalf of Creneau International from Belgium, signed the Memorandum of Understanding which initiates the process of analysis and research of potentials for the joint development of the hospitality business.

– We signed the memorandum on mutual understanding and support because the representatives of the Belgian company, during their previous visits, saw the potentials of Kragujevac which can be developed, and I expect them to enter the hotel business as well – Dasic said.

– Kragujevac could get a new hotel with several categories, because that is what Kragujevac lacks. Countless times so far, guests from western or Arab countries left for Belgrade or Vrnjacka Banja, because there is no high-category hotel in Kragujevac where they could stay overnight. In order for the Belgian company to come to Kragujevac, it is necessary to prepare a study, and the University of Kragujevac is recognized as an institution which can help them to the fullest extent and support them in the preparation of the study – the mayor said and added that they were also interested in investing in Knezev Arsenal and some other locations.

He said that Creneau International was a serious Belgian company which, among other things, brings along other companies – they have brought the Belgian company Jaga to MIND Park Kragujevac. Among other things, Jaga does air conditioning, which is a project that is yet to be established and developed and they also plan to open their seat here so as to be able to expand the Belgian startup locally.

– We have been in Serbia for more than a year and we have traversed the country exploring its potentials, and we like Kragujevac very much because here we see something that resembles Tuscany, beautiful nature and plenty of possibilities for the development of hospitality and economy, and a region whose future is bright – stated Bart Canini from Creneau International.

– Here, we have seen possibilities for our investment and we believe that there is plenty of room for the development of hospitality. That is what we will cooperate the most on with the local self-government, and then we will also prepare a feasibility study, which will show us what is the best and what we will invest in – he added, as announced on the website of the City of Kragujevac.
