Machines for Production of Batteries and Fuel Cells to Be Assembled in Stara Pazova – Muehlbauer Automation to Build Technology Park Worth EUR 29.5 Million

In the north part of the East Business Zone in Stara Pazova, the company Muehlbauer Automation doo Stara Pazova, part of Muehlbauer Group, is planning to build a technology park for the assembling of parts for machines for the production of batteries and fuel cells.

The preliminary design which was prepared by NORTH Engineering doo Subotica encompasses the construction of a production facility with three floors (including the ground floor), with an office part.

On the parcel no. 4810/27 in the cadaster municipality Stara Pazova, the plan is to produce machines for the production of battery cells and fuel cells, that is, the production of complete production lines for the production of batteries and fuel cells, from lab lines for pilot factories to serial production lines (giga lines) for giga-factories, the preliminary design says.

As pointed out, this is a high-tech innovation on the global level, in line with the global goals of decarbonization and the creation of clean, sustainable energy.

The technological process is based on assembling individual parts (modules) into a single complete production line, through manual work done by the employees, using only hand tools.

– These are fully innovative machines which are, in fact, an assembly of several machines integrated into a single production line. Machines are not used in the production process, because the production process is entirely based on assembling the components of the machine, the mechanical, electronic, optical parts etc, into a functional whole, that is, a production line – says the urban project, prepared by Urban Project Stara Pazova.

It is added that the segments for the assembly will be imported from abroad, ready to be assembled.

For the purposes of the preparation of the Urban Project, the geodetic works, surveying and processing, were done by Geo SLAJ doo Stara Pazova.

The urban project for the construction of the technological park is on a public presentation at the Municipality of Stara Pazova until November 17.

The investment of Muehlbauer Group in Serbia arrives a year after the announcement of the Ministry of Economy about new investments in the sectors of the automotive industry and the production of electrical equipment, worth EUR 180 million.

As said at the time, this pertains to five multi-annual investment projects with renowned companies and world-famous producers of parts and equipment, which will bring high technology and production processes and employ over 420 people, and one of those investors is Muehlbauer Automation.

It was also announced at the time that, by the end of 2025, Muehlbauer Automation planned to invest EUR 29.5 million in the construction of a new factory for the production of machines for the production of batteries and fuel cells in Stara Pazova and employ 150 new workers.
