The procedures of connecting the power plants which use variable renewable energy sources are postponed due to the determined risk for the safe operations of the power system, due to the lack of the reserve for the balancing of the system, EMS AD announced. The list of the facilities which are not subject to the potential postponement of the connection, which eKapija has had insight into, features 27 wind farms and five solar power plants.

The Plan of the Development of the Transfer System of the Republic of Serbia for 2023-2032, which the Energy Agency approved several days ago, determines that the maximum RES capacities that the system can balance are 5,800 MW (4,800 from wind farms and 1,000 MW from solar capacities).

Citing the Law on the Use of RES, EMS points out that the postponement of the process of connection does not apply to the facilities for which the agreement on the preparation of the study of the connection of the facility was signed with the operator of the transfer system at the moment of the preparation of the adequacy analysis. The list of these facilities is provided within the Plan of the Development of the Transfer System.

The list of the facilities which are not subject to the potential postponement of the connection, which eKapija has had an insight into, features 27 wind farms: Alibunar 1, Alibunar 2, Banat, Banat 3, Banatsko Novo Selo, Banat 2, Uljma, Bašaid, Bela Anta, Bela Anta 2, Crni Vrh Power, Čibuk 2, Čestobrodica, Elicio Ali 2, Kostolac, Krivača, Maestrale Ring, Nikine Vode, Plandište 1, Pupin, Torak, Vetrozelena, Celzijus 1, Elicio Wind 01, GEX Wind 1, Košava, Novo Selo 2. Their total installed power is 4,199.52 MW.

The list also features five solar power plants: Solarina, Adria Solea Sjenica, Kima Solar, PV Power Plant, Uljma, with a total installed power of 352 MW.
