All the signs, information and notifications at the Belgrade Bus Station (Beogradska autobuska stanica – BAS) in Block 42 will be written out in the Cyrillic script and in the English language, stated the mayor of Belgrade, Aleksandar Sapic.

He pointed out that all the signs that were present at the station at that moment had been prepared by the management of BAS, without consultations with the City of Belgrade.

– I believe that there shouldn’t be the Cyrillic script, the Latin script and the English language, but just Cyrillic and English. Those who don’t read Cyrillic understand English and vice versa. I requested the management of BAS to replace all the signs and have them written out in Cyrillic and English, and they promised to do so in the shortest amount of time possible. We will soon start changing all the panels and street names, which will also be written out in the Cyrillic script and the English language – said Sapic.
