The Chongqing Research Institute of Harbin Institute of Technology, the Chongqing Academy of Science and Technology and the Science-Technology Park Nis have signed the Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation. This memorandum sets the foundations for intensive cooperation in the fields of innovations, technological transfer and sustainable development. The aim is to promote bilateral transfer and transformation of technologies between Serbia and China, with the support of science and tech projects which will enable economic and social progress of both regions.

The cooperation will focus on upgrading innovations in smart manufacture, bioengineering, robot technology, new energy sources, artificial intelligence and creative industries. Based on the principle of long-term partnership and mutual benefit, this initiative has the potential to considerably contribute to the development of the innovation ecosystem in Serbia and China.

The memorandum was signed within the Chongqing International Talent Exchange Conference, held from November 21-25. It gathered over 10,000 participants from the whole world. The delegation of Serbia was led by professor Miroslav Trajanovic, PhD, the state secretary of the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation, and Milos Petrovic, the assistant director for infrastructure and investments at the Science-Technology Park Nis.
