In the first ten months of this year, more than a million overnight stays were realized on Zlatibor, announced the Tourism Organization of Zlatibor. According to the data of the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia, after Belgrade, Zlatibor is the most visited destination in Serbia among all cities, spas and mountain centers. In the January-October period, 354,814 tourists visited Zlatibor, which is 20% more than in the same period last year. Since the beginning of this year, on that mountain, 1,054,167 overnight stays were realized, of which nearly a third were guests from abroad – 291,105 overnight stays, which is around 35% more than in 2023.

That shows, as emphasized by the Tourism Organization, that Zlatibor is attracting more and more attention even outside Serbia’s borders.

Aside from local tourists, Zlatibor saw the most tourists from Bosnia and Herzegovina, followed by Montenegro, North Macedonia, Russia, China and Malta. The intention of the Tourism Organization of Zlatibor is to continue the prize contest for the visitors in registered facilities next year as well, with the support of the Ministry of Tourism and Youth, so as to stimulate the registration of as many of those facilities as possible on the E-tourist portal, which also contributes to the reduction of unfair competition.
