On TV Informer, he said that it was a geopolitical decision and that he had never heard that the decision was being prepared by the Americans, but Europe.
Serbia, the president said for RTS, has been officially informed that the decision will come into effect as soon as January 1.
– We have not yet gotten the paper. We expected it a year and a half ago from the European Union, it didn’t come from the European Union, but from America. I don’t know how much time we will have – said Vucic.
He estimated that it opened some new problems with Russia and that, after three years, it would not be realistic for him to come out with the position of imposing sanctions against that country.
– For me to come out after three years and say that we are imposing sanctions against Russia – it’s not realistic – said Vucic.
He said that the solution was difficult, but that the Americans had to give Serbia some kind of a deadline in order to see what those sanctions entailed.
– Even today, NIS contributes around nine percent to the budget, it’s not a small thing. It all comes directly through Janaf, we have no other oil pipeline – said Vucic.
NIS: Operations unobstructed, supply of gas stations regular
At the moment, the operations of NIS are unobstructed and the supply of the gas station chain is regular, the company told the Beta news agency. As they said in their response to Beta’s question, the Pancevo Oil Refinery is operating normally, delivering all the necessary oil products to the market.
– The company remains focused on the continuation of the realization of the initiated investments and the preservation of the stability in the local market of oil products. NIS continues to follow the current situation and analyze all the potential scenarios and potential consequences to the company’s operations and there are currently no legal restrictions against the activities of the company and our partners – they added.
