SAM Manager of the Year awards for Serbia handed out

The best managers and companies for 2024 were pronounced at the traditional SAM Gala event, organized by the Serbian Association of Managers, which was held this year under the slogan “We Form Unbreakable Bonds”. The title of the “Manager of the Year” was won by Sasa Popovic, CEO and Co-Founder of Vega IT, whereas the acknowledgment for the “Young Manager of the Year” went to Nemanja Salipur of Nelt Group. The “Employer of the Year” title went to NLB Komercijalna Banka, and the “Socially Responsible Company” award was won by MK Group.

The jury also handed out two special awards – to Nikola Rokvic for a personal heroic act and to the company A1 Srbija for a campaign of national importance.

This event, which the SAM organized for the 13th time, gathered representatives of the business community from the country and the region.

The SAM Gala dinner also had a humanitarian character – thanks to the donation of the company Delta DMD and the brand Johnnie Walker in the amount of RSD 300,000, the humanitarian organization SOS Decije Selo got support for its activities.

The president of the SAM, Mihailo Jankovic, emphasized that, in the next year as well, the Association would continue promoting responsible leadership, working on strengthening managers and supporting young people, through projects such as “SAM Manager for a Day”. He underlined the importance of creating sustainable bonds between the business world, education and local communities, to the end of achieving a better and more prosperous society.

– Tonight, we award those who have been true examples of 21st century leaders. For the 13th time, we have handed out awards for the best managers, employers and socially responsible companies. All the finalists of the 2024 SAM Annual Awards deserved to be winners, because these are extraordinary candidates who represent the best the business community has to offer. These are managers at the peaks of their careers, young managers who are now already bravely “treading” business paths, employers that we would like our children to work for tomorrow, as well as companies which know no borders when it comes to social responsibility – stated the president of the SAM, Mihailo Jankovic.
