Tender for BIO4 Campus announced for January 15 – Complex for nine institutes and two faculties and Minglarium building to be raised

The tender for the construction of the complex of institutes I and II, the buildings of the Minglarium and geotechnical installations – geothermal probes, infrastructure and the accompanying underground facilities within the BIO4 Campus complex will be published on January 15, as can be seen from the prior notice published by the Ministry of Public Investment. The estimated value of the procurement has not been announced so far.

As the notice says, the institute complex – part I will encompass the Institute for Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering as well as the Artificial Intelligence Research and Development Institute of Serbia. This space will also feature the Faculty of Agriculture.

The institute complex – part II integrates a number of science institutions, among which are the Institute for Multidisciplinary Research, the Institute for Medical Research, the BIOSENSE Institute, the Institute for Cardiovascular Diseases Dedinje, the Institute for the Application of Nuclear Energy, the Center for Sustainable Management of Bioresources PANDA, the Institute for Chemistry, Technology and Metallurgy and the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy.

The facilities of the institute I and II each have 3 basement levels and six floors (including the ground floor and the loft) and a total gross area of around 52,301.82 m2, of which the gross garage space area is 12,014.90 m2, with a total of 314 parking spaces.

The business and congress center Minglarium – the building which will be the symbol of the campus – is designed as a place for the exchange of knowledge through the widest variety of forms, from informal lectures within the startup ecosystem, through seminars and promotional gatherings, to bigger conferences and congresses for the business and science community of the campus and its guests. It will have a basement, two semi-basement levels and eight floors (including the ground floor) and take up a gross area of 28,086 m2, of which the garage space area is 3,011.45 m2, with a total of 79 parking spaces.

Also, according to the documentation, around 1,200 geothermal probes will be installed and mutually connected, according to the project. The installed probes are the pre-condition for the construction of the facilities, considering that they stretch beneath the facilities as well.
