Vucic: We can no longer expect gas from Azerbaijan

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said during his public address following the meeting with US Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources Richard Verma that we could no longer count on 1.7 cubic meters of gas a day from Azerbaijan.

– Another piece of bad news came this morning. We were notified by Azerbaijan that, from today, due to “force majeure”, the problems they had, we could no longer count on the 1.7 cubic meters of gas that we got each day. From today, we will start spending our reserves much more and much more seriously – Vucic said and added:

– It has turned out to be smart that we have gathered reserves. I hope that they will fix this in a month to two months. If not, in the next four months, you should count on us having to add and spend the reserves. There will be no gas or oil shortages and we are still not changing our goal of being the fastest growing economy in Europe.
