International Public Relations Association IPRA founds Alpe Balkan Adria branch

The International Public Relations Association IPRA is pleased to present the establishment of the Alpe Balkan Adria (ABA) branch. The goal of this initiative is to improve communication standards and encourage cooperation among public relations experts in the Alpine, Balkan and Adriatic regions.

The new branch was officially launched during the recent public relations summit held in Belgrade, which brought together industry leaders, experts and stakeholders dedicated to the development of the profession. This initiative provides a platform for sharing knowledge and best practices, as well as for networking, which will contribute to strengthening the public relations profession in these diverse and dynamic regions.

The main goal of the branch is to improve communication standards and public relations practices in the region.

IPRA President Natasa Pavlovic Bujas emphasized the importance of the establishment of this branch and stated:

– The ABA branch is a significant step towards the unification of our region within the global industry of public relations. We are convinced that together we can respond to specific challenges and take advantage of opportunities that will improve our profession.

President of the ABA branch at IPRA, Dejan Vercic, PhD, a professor of public relations at the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Ljubljana and a partner in the communications consulting agency Herman & Partners, added:

– As business becomes increasingly integrated and the region reconnects within the European Union, the profession of public relations, advocacy and strategic communication is evolving to support its clients while serving both private and public interests for a mutually beneficial future.


The International Public Relations Association IPRA was founded in 1955 and is the leading global network of public relations professionals in their personal capacity. IPRA’s mission is to advance reliable communication and ethical public relations practices through networking, a code of conduct, and intellectual leadership in the profession.
