Demolition of Hotel Park in Novi Sad to begin – Preparations for construction of Hotel Hyatt Regency

After several months of preparatory activities, the demolition of the Hotel Park building in Novi Sad is to begin this week, the company Inobacka announced. They add that the demolition of the facility is extremely challenging and that all 10 floors will therefore be removed one by one, and the owner of the building, Inobacka, will pay special attention to this job.

– In addition to the contractor which is the building demolition business and the mandatory expert supervision and the hired experts from within its own staff, the company has also hired a company which will exclusively monitor and manage the waste and implement the LEED standard certification of green construction – they say.

The demolition project is undertaken based on the decision on the removal of the facility which was issued by the City Administration for Urban Planning and Construction Affairs of the City of Novi Sad, which was preceded by the obtaining of the Approval by the Administration for Environmental Protection of the City of Novi Sad of the Plan of Construction and Demolition Waste Management. The permit is issued for four months.

Let us remind that, as eKapija has written before, in the location of the existing Hotel Park, one of the biggest world hotel brands, Hyatt Regency, is to be built, and its official name will be Hyatt Regency Novi Sad.

It was said at the time that the hotel would have 235 rooms, a congress center on 1,900 m2 for 925 people, nine meeting rooms, a ceremonial hall on 800 m2 for 300 people, a spa center with a view to the Futog Park of 1,500 m2 with one indoor pool and two outdoor ones, an outdoor gym and an underground garage on two levels for 300 vehicles, and it will also use medicinal water.

The agreement on the construction and development of Hotel Hyatt Regency Novi Sad was signed in 2023 by the vice president for development at Hyatt International Group, Takuya Aoyama, and the director of the company Inobacka, Vukajlo Babic.
