Mitsubishi interested in participating in construction of reversible HPP Bistrica

The development of the project of the construction of the reversible hydro power plant Bistrica was the main topic of the meeting between the management of Elektroprivreda Srbije with representatives of the Japanese company Mitsubishi Corporation. Shunichi Komoriya, Deputy General Manager at Mitsubishi Corporation Istanbul Main Branch, pointed out that the company, with its partners, was ready to offer the most modern technology for the realization of this strategic energy capacity, EPS announced.

An assessment of the project and technical documentation is in progress, being implemented by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), which is a key step for the securing of financing.

EPS General Manager Dusan Zivkovic emphasized that it was important to comply with the agreed dynamics so that the realization of the project would begin in line with the plan.

As announced earlier, the state plans for the preparatory works on the reversible HPP Bistrica to begin in 2026.
