Serbian fund Omorika Ventures invests in Veli, startup for crypto advisers and wealth managers

FinTech startup Veli, a Vilnius-based crypto portfolio platform deigned for financial advisors and wealth managers, has secured a high six figure investment from Omorika Ventures, a newly established VC fund focused on supporting early-stage technological innovation, reports the EU-Startups portal.

The investment will fuel the development of an API for crypto brokerage platforms and a solution for private banks eager to enter the crypto space. Additionally, Veli plans to expand its development and sales teams, strengthen its presence in Europe, and lay the groundwork for entry into the Middle East.

– What we recognized is that most people still prefer contact with a real person, so we created a platform that allows professionals to manage their portfolios – explained Stevan Radonjanin, Co-founder and CEO of Veli.

Founded in 2022 by Stevan Radonjanin and Marko Selakovic, Veli brings together deep expertise from both traditional finance and the crypto industry. Radonjanin has over five years of banking experience and more than six years in crypto, having worked with major European investment platforms, including the unicorn Bitpanda, whereas Selakovic, the company’s CTO, is a serial entrepreneur who previously built and scaled tech teams from zero to 30 people.

With an emphasis on usability and technology, Veli’s digital platform looks to enable financial advisors to create investment strategies with a few clicks, monitor historical performance, and make better investment decisions using AI-driven market insights. The platform is easy to use and adapted to the needs of banks and other financial institutions.
