The Trade Union “Sloga” has requested a 12% salary raise from the management of the Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport and announced that, if there is no progress in the negotiations, it will “consider a strike as the next step.”

– We believe that this is the minimum which matches the realistic costs of living and the financial capabilities of the employer. We place special emphasis on the operating services and the most jeopardized categories of the employees, who are supposed to benefit the most from this raise – the statement says.

On Friday, around 100 employees of “Nikola Tesla” held a one-hour warning strike from 12 till 1 PM.

The Trade Union “Sloga” believes that the requests of certain trade unions for a 40% increase are “unrealistic, irresponsible and counterproductive.”

– They are deceiving the workers and creating false expectations, while at the same time serving as a means of transferring responsibility to others. Union struggle does not entail only strikes and protests, but also a serious and thorough social dialogue which achieves concrete results – writes “Sloga”.
