The PE Roads of Serbia has submitted to the Ministry of Environmental Protection the Request for Determining the Scope and Content of an Environmental Impact Assessment Study of II Phase of the Project of the Construction of the IB-Grade Expressway – North Bypass Route Around Kragujevac.

The construction of the North Bypass Route Around Kragujevac, 22 kilometers long in total, began at the end of 2023. The construction of this expressway, which will connect Kragujevac with all the most important road routes in Serbia and unload the transit traffic through the city center, will cost RSD 40.2 billion, that is, EUR 342.1 million, according to the estimate from the revised Fiscal Strategy for 2025, with projections until 2027, which has been adopted by the Government of Serbia.

According to the agreement with the contractor, the works should be completed in 48 months, that is, at the end of 2027, and the first 5 kilometers, according to the announcements, should be completed by the middle of this year.

Following that, as announced by the member of the City Council for Investments and Project Management Aleksandar Milosevic, the remaining 17 kilometers are to be built in the second phase of the project.

Last spring, the PE Roads of Serbia submitted to the competent ministry the request for approval of the Environmental Impact Assessment Study for the Phase-Based Construction of II Phase of the North Bypass Route Around the City of Kragujevac.

As eKapija already wrote, the second section begins at km 5+000, is around 16 km long and is a continuation of the north bypass route covered by the previously prepared urban project. It will be designed for a speed of up to 100 km/h, and 17 bridges and three interchanges will be built on it. This section encompasses parts of the cadastral municipalities Golocelo, Djuriselo, Dragobraca, Drenovac, Draca, Divostin, Poskurice, Desimirovac, Opornica and Kragujevac IV. The preliminary design for the second phase was prepared by the companies MHM Projekt from Novi Sad and DB Inzenjering from Belgrade.
