20th BINA: Seminar "Architects/Designers/Practitioners" at Sava Center on April 15

The seminar "Architects/Designers/Practitioners" within the program of the 20th Belgrade International Week of Architecture - BINA will be held on Tuesday, April 15, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Sava Center. This seminar represents a series of lectures for professionals, with the aim of exchanging ideas and information in the field of design and use of new and innovative materials and products.

This year's seminar is dedicated to contemporary topics of wooden elements in architecture and interiors, glass canopies, facade solutions, innovative materials and their sustainable application in architecture. Representatives of the construction industry will introduce colleagues with the latest achievements in their field through short lectures, providing characteristics and possibilities of product application. Representatives of the companies Jaf, Guardian, Mapei, Eurodom, Knauf, Aco, Alumil, Accoya and Xella will talk about the reconstruction methods of buildings, new materials and their installation options.

Special attention will be paid to the BINA open house tour - a walk through the facility of the second part of the Sava Center complex, which has been completed, the Blue hall and winter garden, as well as applied new technological solutions, materials and execution details. In conversations with Ivana Letić, the author of the reconstruction, and Dušica Vidaković, we will have the opportunity to see this extraordinary architectural work.

As part of the Seminar, young architects Ana Curk and Sanja Cvetković will present their views on architecture on the topic of "Micro housing hub". The presented works of this bureau call for reflection on the seemingly opposing challenges of contemporary design – comfort and limited space, economy and ecological sustainability, modern living standards and alternative housing models. The lecture asks and offers an answer to the question - how much space do we really need to live a fulfilled life?

Lectures are held in co-organization with Delta Real Estate, and with the support of the Chamber of Engineers of Serbia.
