Novi Pazar to get biggest Youth Center in this part of Europe – Construction tender worth EUR 8.2 million published

The City of Novi Pazar has opened the public procurement of works on the construction of the Youth Center in Novi Pazar.

The value of the job is estimated at around RSD 960 million (EUR 8.2 million).

The Youth Center, announced as the biggest one in this part of Europe, will have a library, a restaurant and a hostel with rooms, as well as an underground garage, with a total (gross) area of 6,592.31 m2.

The parcel on which the construction is planned is located between the “Jovan Jovanovic Zmaj” Elementary School and the Technical School.

At the 33th International Urban Planning Salon, the PE Zavod za urbanizam Novog Pazara won second prize in the “Urban Projects” category, and the award was handed out to Emir Ascercic and Mihajlo Cukanovic for the Urban Project of the Youth Cultural Center with a square in Novi Pazar.

The job of the preparation of the project-technical documentation for the preparation of full technical documentation for the obtaining of the building permit and the construction of the Youth Center was awarded to the group of bidders consisting of the Belgrade-based companies KRIP-Inzenjering and Gicomp.

Let us remind that, in April 2023, the contracts on the establishment of youth centers worth RSD 180 million were signed between the minister of tourism and youth, Husein Memic, and the authorities of the city administrations of Nis, Subotica, Sombor and Novi Pazar. As announced at the time, in Nis, Subotica and Sombor, the plan is to adapt the existing spaces into youth centers, and in Novi Pazar, an entirely new center, one of the biggest ones in this part of Europe, will be built.
