Another extension for tender for construction of central building of new BAS

As in the case of the tender for the construction of Patrijarha Pavla Boulevard from the Ada Bridge to Kosutnjak, there seems to be no end to public procurement for the construction of the central station building of the new Belgrade Bus Station (BAS) in Block 42. Just when it seemed that bids would be opened today and that it would finally be known who would carry out the work on the central building, for which only the foundations have been done, instead, the information has been published that this tender procedure has been extended for another day, this time until April 17, which is the new deadline for submission and opening of bids.

Let us remind that the tender for the construction of the bus terminal in Block 42 was announced in October 2024 and was originally supposed to be completed on November 22, but was suspended in the meantime. At the beginning of this month, it was extended until April 11, that is, until today, when the opening of bids was supposed to take place.

This tender covers the second phase of the construction of the new bus station complex. According to the architectural project, which was prepared by the CIP Institute of Transportation on behalf of the investor, the City of Belgrade, the station building is planned as a free-standing building, with a basement and three floors (including the ground floor and the loft).

The new BAS in Block 42, the construction of which was originally started by this company several years ago, has so far received a station plateau with bus parking and station platforms. An annex was previously built in the area of the station complex, which currently serves as a temporary station building, and the streets around the new BAS were widened. In the meantime, the city and BAS have agreed that further activities related to the completion of the station complex will be taken over by the city. The new, unfinished BAS started working at the beginning of last fall.
