For more than 30 years, LS Data has been developing software solutions for the improvement and automation of business. Our solutions are based on the use of mobile computers and technologies that increase efficiency and control, while reducing errors and the human factor, and let`s ask ourselves something right now. Why should we "reduce the human factor"? Isn`t it precisely the human factor that is responsible for the creation and constant improvement of business, including logistics? Well, of course it is, and that`s why our solutions give people the freedom to focus on creativity and organization, while reducing those boring and repetitive tasks to a minimum.

The SOKO system for field sales and merchandising enables the creation of purchase orders for retail establishments, assortment overview, numerical distribution, prices and exposure of own and competitor`s goods. The struggle for higher quality positions and better sales must absolutely be followed in real time inside retail stores, in order to prevent "out of stock" situations, missed sales, and timely react to competitor actions. In the Soko system, users in the field do not need to type weekly or monthly reports, or save and send photos, because the software organizes and presents all data in a more systematic manner. There are also tools for organizing "trade loyalty" and "mystery shopper" actions, surveys, promotions, but also improving the work of field agents and supervisors, while noticing their weaknesses and strengths.

The VIDRA system for inventory and monitoring of fixed assets enables all large companies to actively monitor and manage their assets. We noticed that most companies deal with this issue only enough to satisfy the form of the annual census, and that the real physical condition does not match the bookkeeping at all. That`s why we`ve offered a tool that dramatically speeds up inventory, and provides insight into the actual locations and inventory debtors. In other words, to know exactly where and in what physical condition the company`s assets are at any moment, and additionally, to manage their future maintenance. This applies to a lesser extent to office furniture (which we all think of first when fixed assets are mentioned) - our focus is on assets such as IT equipment, tools, POS material in points of sale, vehicles, even licenses and other assets that have a much more dynamic flow. There is also RFID technology, which enables the inventory of an office to be completed in Vidra "with a click" in a few seconds.

The PELIKAN system for warehouse operations helps in the management of distribution and logistics centers, but also with production, customs warehouses, and return logistics. At PELIKAN, everything comes down to a game of big numbers, because logistics are becoming more and more important and demanding. The number of items is growing, the volumes of deliveries are increasing, along with the demands for faster and more accurate deliveries, and it is increasingly difficult to find adequate labor.
A quality WMS solution (such as Pelikan) enables all logistics operations to be automated to that extent that existing workers can be up to 50% more efficient, with almost complete elimination of mistakes. The mentioned human factor is able to manage large warehouses with an accuracy of about 99% (1 error per 100 operations), which is impressive but not nearly good enough. WMS helps raise accuracy to 99.9% (1 error per 1000 operations).

One special and specific tool is the IBIS the system for recording goods in the customs warehouse. It enables complete traceability of the vehicle itself, but also the necessary flow of documentation that accompanies it from the announcement of import, through transport, storage, customs procedures,
and later, through all necessary steps to re-export or showroom.

Common to all the mentioned solutions is that, with the help of mobile technologies, they enable significant improvements where the human factor (due to the excessive number of repetitions) represents a limitation to the highest efficiency and precision. Another common advantage, especially in this day and age, is the ability for new workers to be productive virtually immediately. The human factor has the characteristic that it takes a lot of time to train to work with thousands of items, or processes in a specific industry - a month, two, six months, even a whole year, if there is no adequate technological support. But, with such support, practically every person can be absolutely efficient and accurate and productive enough, so we don`t have to think about how to "reduce the human factor" any more.
