ASA Group buys Zito Backa mill

ASA Trading, part of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s ASA Group, has taken ownership of one of the largest mills in Serbia.

After a very successful previous acquisition of the Zitoprodukt mill in Backa Palanka in 2018, they added a new investment this year by purchasing the Zito Backa wheat mill from Kula, one of the largest mills in Serbia with a tradition of more than 100 years.

Zito Backa from Kula was founded in 1916 and during its long tradition has become synonymous with the quality of its products. The mill was reconstructed in 2013, which increased the product range.

The daily flour production capacity is 220 tons, and the storage capacity allows for the storage of up to 50,000 tons of grain. The company is also the winner of the Gold Medal at the Novi Sad Fair for Specialized Flours, which confirms the high quality of its products.
