Bosch to begin serial production of wiper systems in Pecinci in August

Germany's Bosch announced Thursday that the serial production at the factory for producing wiper systems for cars in Pecinci would commence August, confirming that 100 additional workers would be hired by the year's end.
Bosch registered a turnover of EUR 24 million in the markets of Serbia, Montenegro and Macedonia in 2012, up 24 percent from 2011, it was said yesterday at a press conference in New Belgrade.
Bosch Director for the Adriatic Region Javier Gonzalez Pareja pointed out at the press conference that the turnover boost in this region was extremely important, considering that the western European market had not yet recovered from the 2008 economic crisis.
The Bosch Group increased the number of its employees in Serbia from 65 in 2011 to 90 in 2012 (excluding the workers at the Pecinci factory).
Pilot production in Pecinci started June 2013, when about 50 people got a job.
- All newly employed workers have completed a training for a period of one to three months at Bosch factories in western Europe, while development engineers attend an 18-month training course at the development center in Germany - Robert Bosch Serbia Director-General Jovanka Jovanovic explained.
Jovanovic reminded that the number of workers in Pecinci would be growing constantly, adding that the factory should have 215 employees by the end of 2014 and 620 by 2016.
- Bosch plans to invest EUR 70 million in Serbia by 2019 - said Jovanovic.
Bosch reported a EUR 52.5 billion turnover on a global level in the business year 2012, up 1.9 percent from 2011, and it employs about 306,000 people worldwide.
