Czech company to build highway from Borca to Zrenjanin - Project value estimated at EUR 110 million

The highway from the Zemun-Borca Bridge to Zrenjanin, as an extension of Corridor XI, will be built under a concession agreement with a partner from the Czech Republic, Construction Minister Velimir Ilic reveals to the daily Novosti.
Such agreement may be signed as early as April in Belgrade, when a high delegation of the Czech Republic headed by the president of this country comes to visit Serbia.
- We've obtained a very favorable credit line from the Czech Republic for infrastructure - says Ilic.
- However, since we have reached the "red line" set by the finance minister as the borrowing limit for this year, I asked the representatives of the Czech government to turn that credit line into a concession. The value of this project is estimated at about EUR 110 million. I have already issued an order for the preparation of necessary documentation for this project. A study prepared by CIP Institute of Transportation shows that the project is cost-efficient.
