Six lanes to connect Nis and Sofia - Full-profile highway by mid-2016

Serbia and Bulgaria will be connected by a full-profile highway in mid-2016. And while intensive work on the Nis-Dimitrovgrad stretch of Corridor X in our country is already underway, Bulgarians are going to commence the work on the Sofia-Kalotina stretch 36 kilometers long this August.
Funding for Bulgaria's part of the project is already provided, and colleagues from the Serbian Transportation Ministry helped Bulgarians prepare a study on the current flow of vehicles along that route and make traffic growth forecasts for the years to come. By the way, this is only one of the joint transportation projects of Serbia and Bulgaria.
Flights to Varna
When it comes to air traffic, in addition to the newly launched daily service between Belgrade and Sofia which is expected to be used by about 30,000 passengers annually, Air Serbia also plans to start direct flights to Varna.
