The minister of trade of Serbia, Tomislav Momirovic, has stated today that the future complex EXPO 2027, where the National Stadium is to be located, “is more important than the bypass route around Belgrade, Belgrade Waterfront and the Belgrade - Novi Sad fast railroad”.

– The future EXPO 2027 will be a true revolution in the field of real estate in our city, because it will change the perspective of Belgrade, but also of Novi Sad and the entire Serbia, because it is a project which will generate not just new jobs in the construction industry, but also in the sectors of tourism and other services – Momirovic said following the handing out of the certificate of the passing of the professional exam for mediators in the sale and lease of real estate.

The plan for the EXPO 2027 complex, in addition to the construction of the National Stadium, also includes the construction of accompanying accommodation, commercial capacities and an exhibitions space, and it will spread on around 167 hectares.

Momirovic said that, in terms of infrastructure, the project would “expand” the capital city and act as Belgrade’s connection with the Nikola Tesla Belgrade, which should triple the number of passengers.
