Market with Green Roof in Belgrade Waterfront to Have Around 15,000 m2 – Here’s What It Will Look Like (PHOTO)

Near the Shopping Center “Galerija” in Belgrade Waterfront, the plan is to build a new market. This is a facility which will have a green roof and a garage for visitors.

– Several entrances will lead to the naturally lit central hall, which will be the “heart” of the market. Traditional materials, such as bricks, will infuse this modern edifice with a special warmth and charm of a long-gone age – the investors announce.

The roof with plenty of natural greenery, they add, is the biggest attraction, which not even much more famous markets in the world have.

The green rooftop balcony will spread on 1,800 m2.

The designing of the facility, according to the Gradnja.rs portal, is entrusted to the Belgrade-based studio DA Dizajn Arhitektura, and the preliminary data say that the market in Belgrade Waterfront should have 4,100 m2 of market space, a garage of 7,800 m2, as well as 2,300 m2 of office space.

In addition to 48 market stands, the facility is also to feature 51 retail and hospitality units, as well as 176 parking spaces and three elevators for the visitors.
