State to buy 100 electric buses for EXPO – After specialized exhibition, vehicles and six lines to be transferred to GSP Beograd for management

For the needs of the specialized exhibition EXPO 2027, the state will buy 100 electric buses, which will serve passengers on six lines, eKapija has learned at the Secretariat for Public Transport, following the meeting which the Ministry of Finance had with this secretariat and GSP Beograd. The procurement of these vehicles and the planning of the future six public transport lines to and from Surcin is a result of the study which, as we have been told, was prepared for the needs of EXPO, more precisely, the study which dealt with the planning of the public transport lines which would serve EXPO.

The plan is for the purchase of these vehicles to be financed by the state and, as a source familiar with the details of the meeting specified, they will not be bought through regular tendering procedure, but within the special procedures enabled by lex specialis for EXPO. The plan is for all 100 electric buses for EXPO to be delivered in the first quarter of 2027 at the latest.
