The average salary in Serbia in 2024 is RSD 98,143 - Here's who earned the most

The Republic Institute of Statistics announced that the calculated average net salary in Serbia in 2024 amounted to RSD 98,143 and, compared to the previous year, it is nominally higher by 14.1% and in real terms by 9.1%, according to the Government of Serbia.

If earnings without taxes and contributions are compared by sector, the highest real growth in 2024, compared to 2023, was achieved in education, by 11.3%, then in accommodation and food services - 11.2% and in the processing industry - 11%.

The highest earnings without taxes and contributions last year were calculated in computer programming and consulting activities and amounted to RSD 286,867, followed by air traffic with RSD 207,965, then scientific research and development with RSD 199,411 and production of tobacco products with RSD 177,413.

Observed by region, the highest net salary in 2024 was calculated in the Belgrade region - RSD 124,010, in the Vojvodina region the salary was RSD 92,725, in Southern and Eastern Serbia RSD 84,083, and the lowest average salary was in Sumadija and Western Serbia - 82,433 dinars.
