Construction of four solar power plants with energy storage systems planned in Ruma

The procedure for developing the Detailed Regulation Plan for the construction of four solar power plants - Ruma 1, 2, 3 and 4 - which will be located northeast of the urban area, on an area of about 6.7 hectares, is underway. As part of the planning process, a study was prepared for the needs of early public inspection, which is currently available to the public.

The commissioners of the plan are the companies Rumasol jedan, Rumasol dva, Rumasol tri and Rumasol cetiri D.O.O. from Belgrade, while the drafting authority is the Urban Planning and Construction Department of the Municipal Administration of the Municipality of Ruma. The plan is prepared by the architectural studio K - New Architectural Design.

The plan envisages the installation of photovoltaic power plants with a power of up to 999 kW per facility, with accompanying energy storage systems - batteries.

The complex of solar power plants will be distributed on plots that are outside the construction area and that are classified as “other agricultural land” according to the current planning documentation. Since solar panels do not require a repurposing of land, the planned construction fits into the existing categorization, while preserving the principal use of the space.

The power plants will be organized into two functional zones, connected by a service road, and equipped with transformers, power lines and access roads. Anti-reflective solar panels will be used to prevent negative impacts on traffic and the environment.

The early public inspection lasts until May 7.
