An important step in the implementation of this large project was made by signing the contract on the construction and maintenance of power plants with partners Neopower DOO Novi Sad and MT-Komex DOO Belgrade.
In the first year of the project, over 30 photovoltaic power plants will be built, in different locations, with a total capacity of 3.5 MW, whose value is close to EUR 2.5 million. In the next phases of the project, through its planned expansion, the value of the investment will reach close to 6 million EUR and the total capacity will be 10 MW.
These power plants will function according to the customer-producer system, whereby the produced electricity will provide part of its own needs.
The next stage of the project includes the construction of photovoltaic power plants on all freestanding, newly opened facilities of the Univerexport retail network, as well as the construction of power plants with producer status at the existing and future distribution center.
Photovoltaic power plants will be built at Univerexport retail facilities in locations in Belgrade, Novi Sad, Subotica, Sombor, Jagodina, Ćuprija, Ada, Vrbas, Kula, Apatin, Kikinda, Temerin, Kać, Ruma, etc.
Through this supply model, the Univerexport company will have a long-term impact on environmental protection, and this aspect of the project is of particular importance.
